The world of fitness has been taken over by the boot camp phenomenon. There are on our beaches, in our parks and in our gyms. On the surface it may appear to be the latest fad offering a quick fix for the client and a quick dollar for those running them. But look a little deeper and you will see what the true benefits of a boot camp are. 

  

  

For those who are close to where they want to be in terms of health and well-being boot camps are a fresh challenge. A big part of staying motivated and confident is over coming new challenges. Boot camps test your endurance, expose you to new ways to exercise as well as topping skills and knowledge. The boot camp for these types could also be named the “boost camp”.

A big part of achieving physical change is mental you have to be self-motivated and self-confident no one else will get there for you. A boot camp will push you to your physical limits and then get you to do more by calling on your mental strength. Through this a self belief is developed that any challenge can be overcome by physical and mental strength.  
In conclusion the boot camp should not be viewed as a quick fix, it may not reduce your waistline or make you run faster. The boot camp is a coaching session where you get prepared physically and mentally for your journey ahead.

I have been in the fitness industry for over 6 years. I qualified as a Personal Trainer through AUT in 2006 and haven't looked back. Health and fitness is my passion and I feel privileged to be doing something I enjoy so much. Over the years I have taught numerous group classes, which include Resistance Bar, Swiss Ball, Fighting Fit, Preggi Bellies, Fit Bumps, Circuit, Body Start and Tone and Sculpt. I am also a licensed Spinning Instructor and Thump Boxing Trainer which adds a huge dimension to my skills as a trainer.
